Variety is the spice of life! A little of this and a little of that to make you smile. Everyone of us glass artists here with the Divas have our own unique styles, favorite color combos, and fun activities and inspiration that helps mold who we are and what we do behind the torch. I can tell you that from where I stand the everyday happenings around me greatly inspire my bead making.
The Divas have definitely inspired me this week lets check out what they have been up to.
First, a big Welcome Home to Lori Bergmann of Ashlyn Design and Kathleen of Ugly Duckling Beads who were away on some exciting travels! Glad to have you guys back and can't wait to hear and see more about how your trips are inspiring you and your glass journey!
Some where over the rainbow?? April's Challenge for the Divas is just that Rainbow Inspired! Check out the blog post and make sure to cast your vote for a chance to win a great prize! Make sure to leave a comment that you voted to be in the running for the prize!! Good Luck to all our voters!
Rosemarie of Spawn Of Flame has definitely inspired me this week with her blog entry about a gorgeous flower found near her home. I just know that the pictures alone will take your breath away!
I have a new name for Lori of Ashlyn Design "Super Tool Woman" or S.T.W. for short :). She always has a great new tool or gadget for us glass artists. I definitely will be getting this one and once you read the article I know you will have to have one too! It's great how we can re-purpose a seemingly "unglass" object and make it useful for us- sometimes all it takes is a new tool to get us inspired!
What's Cookin' Patrice??? Well head on over to her blog Shepherd Creations and check out the scrummy (my new British word for yummy)Farmer's Market find that she dug up! I can tell that apart from being good for you and tasting amazing, the colors in this post will be a big inspiration!
Okay we have a double dose of goodies from Sharon Driscoll of Right Turn Artwerks! She just seems to be a wealth of helpful information! This blog post has a great link in it that will help out ANY artist. Her next goodie is in the form of some new equipment for her metalsmith work- Casting Equipment!!! I have always been enamored by casting so maybe we can convince her once she gets her set up complete (safety first) to post another blog entry with some eye candy and finished pieces.......... hint hint Sharon :)
I will leave you with these words, take time to smell the flowers, stop by that roadside stand, or invest a little in something you have always wanted to do. You never know where inspiration will find you and what you may inspire another to do!
